Saman is an independent film editor based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. A fellow of the Asian Film Academy (2013) and Berlinale Talents (2015), he has edited a diverse range of Sri Lankan and international projects, including feature films, documentaries, and short films. His work has gained international recognition, with films premiering and receiving awards at renowned festivals such as Venice, Berlin, Locarno, TOKYO FILMeX, and Busan.

He is currently editing Turtle’s Gaze on Spying Stars, a Sri Lankan feature film produced by France and India. His upcoming project is Secrets of a Mountain Serpent, an Indian feature film developed through the Biennale College Cinema initiative.
